Book Launch and Lecture: ADHD Medication Management

Do you have questions about ADHD medications?

Please join Dr. Dan Shapiro for a lecture on
"Managing ADHD Medications"
and book signing.

Friday, January 24th from 10 AM-Noon

In his recently published book,
Parent Child Excursions: ADHD, Anxiety, and Autism
Dr. Shapiro shares that children with ADHD have difficulties with managing time, planning, organizing, initiating, shifting, and “in short being strategic."

ADHD is not a disorder of knowing what to do,
It is a disorder of doing what you know. Those with ADHD know what to do but have a hard time with implementation.

In this discussion, Dr. Shapiro will share how medication can help those with ADHD with their implementation challenges.

He will also cover:
• Parent concerns about medication
• How to manage medication side effects
• How to manage uneven medication coverage
• When and how to stop ADHD medication

Please come with questions and be ready for an active dialogue!
Books will be available for purchase and signing.
